There's Now A More Hardcore Upgrade Pack For The 2018 Ford Mustang
Ford has revealed another optional upgrade package for the Mustang, but for now it’s only available in the States.
Designed for the 2018 car, the Performance Pack Level 2 takes the car’s capabilities one step further. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres make a big difference to grip and traction, being an inch and a half wider than the standard rubber and mounted on 19-inch wheels unique to the upgrade pack.
The other key upgrades in the Level 2 pack are stiffer MagneRide bouncy bits and a quicker steering calibration. The upgraded car should be light years ahead on track and feel more alert and capable on the road, too.
Elsewhere, to help keep it the right way up, the upgraded Mustang gets the front splitter from the previous generation Boss 302 Laguna Seca. Price for the kit is likely to be pretty steep; way above the £3000 or so of the current UK option pack, even if this country gets it. In the US the Level 1 package costs $3995, but be prepared for that to rise a lot.
