Today's Community Question: What is the best race car paint scheme of all time?
Paint schemes can make or break the aesthetics of a racing car. Ultimately they need to compliment the lines of the machine, look great from a distance, and stand the test of time. The Honda RA107 with its overly fussy ‘globe’ livery is an example of how not to do it.

On television and in pictures the colours of the world just blended into an indistinguishable mess; not surprising it was dropped after only one year.
Personally, my favourite livery is the Martini Racing stripes. They look perfect on everything from Formula 1 cars of the 1970s to modern day Porsche GT3s.
But we want to know, what do you guys think is the best racing livery all time. Let us know in the comments below!

Red and gold!
This beast
My Favorite: 306 maxi Peugeot Sport livery :)
Duh.
Nothing beats this
(saracsm voice) Wow! I love the diversity in color!
Since I consider Martini, Gulf , and JPS-style liveries be cheating on this, for vehicles currently racing, I’d have to go with the current Dempsey-Proton liveries (preferable the one that Dempsey drives, not the one that Dempsey doesn’t. Angular to contrast the roundness of the 991 RSR’s.
Red Bull Racing liveries I’d equate to as being the modern Martini livery. It’s hard to go wrong with one.
Rothmans Porsches! (illustration is work in progress but I think you get the point)
My other favorites are:
Martini Racing
BMW M
Troy Lee art car porsches (Flying Lizard)
BMW Team NFS Z4 GT3…
many many more! :)
I like a lot of them but this BMW E9 “Batmobile” is one of my favorite!
