How about the 2ZZ-GE?
Cosworth YB from a late year escort would just make the 20 year cut off. Over 200bhp in standard form isn’t too shabby. Reliable and very tuneable whether it be 1000bhp in turbo form or 300+ on throttle bodies from the likes of Millington.
I’d like to say FC20, but I didn’t like the power delivery…
