Cummins 4bt: plenty of power, loads of torque, very reliable, and easy to rebuild.

The Turbo charged Cosworth YB engine of course!
A bulletproof engine which powered the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth and the Ford Escort RS Cosworth. The engine could be tuned to 330-350 horsepower with stock internals and turbo depening on what injection system and Turbo the engine came with from factory.

The Cosworth YB engine can be tuned to 400 horsepower with stock cam and head reliably, some who have fully built their engines have managed to push 1000hp from this 2 liter engine!

Mazda F2 Series (27 years old but whose counting) Red at 6000 rpm but maxes just over 8000. Not spectacular but good fun and sounds great for a 2.2L
