As much as I agree with you that this is a really good engine with really nice torque and bhp curves (1.8 and 2.0 the 1.6 is sh*t ), but it is sadly more than 20 years old, it started production in 1986. I was going to suggest the V6 BUSSO but old as well
How about the 3S-GE engine?
Better split that question in N/A or charged… that´s a huge figure of awesome 4 cyl. in the past 20 years.
