Today's community question: What's the douchiest car option available from the factory?
In the last few years car manufacturers have come up with all sorts of ridiculous options, hoping to make their cars stand out from the crowd. This trend spans every class of car, from bottom of the rung econoboxes up to luxury barges.
In the last few years car manufacturers have come up with all sorts of ridiculous options, hoping to make their cars stand out from the crowd. This trend spans every class of car, from bottom of the rung econoboxes up to luxury barges. Personally, my least favourite option available on a production car is something that I’ll probably never be able to afford, the Rolls Royce’s Starlight Headliner. Yes it’s handcrafted, and yes each constellation is completely unique, but that doesn’t stop it from looking horribly tacky.
Granted this is an extreme example, but we want to know: What car manufacturer offers the douchiest option from the factory?

That dumb clock on the Bentayaga
An automatic
Fiat’s built in Espresso machine…
$300,000 extra to have your Veyron look even more attention seeking in exposed carbon-fibre
If we are going for ‘douchiest’ then I would agree with other earlier posts and say that ridiculous clock in the Bentley. And before people start piping up with ‘but it’s a beautiful timepiece’ that’s not the point for the people that buy it, the point is so they can say ‘Hey, I’m filthy rich so I bought a Bentley, but what sets me apart from those other Bentley owners is I paid more than the price of a new 600BHP audi R8 for a gaudy clock to be mounted in the dash’ and that’s the moment the gold digger they are trying to impress has dollar/pound signs appear in their eyes…..
The M package on a 328i
Or the de-badge option on a BMW. We all know they bought a 318
Nah, the M package on 320d is the worst (or 318d if it was avaible for that)
Mercedes-Benz light up emblem. As well as their Swarovski Crystal headlight option on the s class.
