Top Gear Returns To Our Screens On 8 May, But Do You Care?
Speaking with chef James Martin on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, Chris Evans this weekend revealed that the first episode of the next Top Gear series will start on “Sunday May the 5th.” Calendar enthusiasts will know the 5th is actually a Thursday in 2016, so presumably that means it’ll actually start on the 8th.
He also mentioned that filming has started, and that the crew will be filming in the US in January. He said nothing about his potential co-stars - a subject of rampant speculation - but Evans has recently hinted that he may not have co-presenters at all.
The big question is, do you actually care? From what we’ve seen, amongst CTzens, interest in this revamped Top Gear is incredibly low, mostly due to the absence of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. And as most of you should know by now, following Clarkson’s contract ending after a fracas with a Top Gear producer, the trio is off to Amazon Prime to front a show which we’re sure most of you will be watching.
So, do you care about Top Gear any more? Will you be watching in May? Let us know in the poll below!

I honestly don’t get why you can’t be excited? We are petrolheads and it’s a new show hosted by someone who we all know is a genuine petrolhead. Not to mention, the usual Top Gear trio having a new show. It’s basically the Top Gear we’re used to aswell as another car show. I mean, common!
There should be a “Meh, I’ll watch the first one” button…
I answered yes cause I’ll definitely watch it, but that’s just because I’m curious if it’s going to be close to as good as it was with the magic trio.
I do not care.
Of course i care about the Trio leaving, but i’m happe that they found together again, so that’s quite good
