Try Not To Clench As This Porsche 911 GT3 Driver Struggles To Avoid Going Off At The 'Ring

A 997 GT3 is seen desperately to stay on the Tarmac during a touristenfahrten session at the Nordschleife on Saturday

In one of those accidents that seems to take a long time to happen, this 997 GT3 driver was seen desperately trying to stay on the Tarmac at the Nordschleife on Saturday.

He’s clearly in trouble the moment the 911 enters the frame, clipping the grass either side of the track soon after before spinning into the gravel. Fortunately the Porsche stops short of the Armco barrier, but that trip over one of the ‘Ring’s infamous kerbs looks to have obliterated the car’s front splitter.

Skidding into the kitty litter won’t have done wonders for the surviving lower bodywork either, and we really wouldn’t want to be the person who has the job of removing all that gravel which will have worked its way into every little nook and cranny of the poor GT3…

This is the part where you learn to just fully hit your brakes at a safety training instead of fideling around trying to take control of your car and loosing valid braking space.
