America
240SX
The trim levels stayed rather the same, with a no-name base model, the higher trim SE model and, 1997 upwards, a luxurious LE trim. Nissan decided to keep the KA engine, even though the power output did not match the competition at the time. Optionals for the 240s were: Sun Roof, Sun visor (in combination with sun roof), car cover (only 1995), rear spoiler (on Base model), hood bra, gold lettering, wood trim (Kouki, genuine), splash guards, a single CD player (1995, base model), 3-disc-autochanger in the dashboard, 6-disc-autochanger in the trunk, cassette player (Base model) and a car telephone (Kouki Facelift). Fun fact: The SE model has a 10-amp boost on the alternator (Base: 80-amp; SE 90-amp). The SE had a special feature, called electroluminiscent lighted gauges. At night the gauges would turn black instead of the daylight white to comfort the driver’s eyes.
Base Model
Standard was: steel wheels with hubcaps, power windows and radio/cassette player with 4 speakers. Optionals were 15” alloy wheels (1996 only in package available), power sunroof, A/C (Leather Package, Zenki), power door locks + cruise control (Convenience Package, Zenki) and CD Stereo System with 6 speakers (and power antenna after April 1994, Convenience Package, Zenki).
SE
Standard over the Base model was: 16” alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, A/C, power door locks and cruise control, CD Stereo System with 6 speakers and power antenna (After April 1994) and remote central locking. Optionals over the Base model were: Leather Seats and shift knob (Leather Package) and map lamp (indoor roof light, Leather Package). 1996 change: better Seats standard + rear stabilizer bar. Kouki facelift: Standard “sport tuned” Suspension, chrome exhaust tips, mirrors in body color and aero sideskirts.
LE (1998)

Thank you for reading! I spend a huge amount of time for the research of the different trim levels, since the information is spread all across the Internet. I hope I could clear out some things for you.

Kyle Ashdown This is really EP worthy, the amount of research and work really deserves one!

I sure learned a lot
I learned Nissan really gave America the middle finger when it comes to engines.
Yes! S15 guide for sure! It’s my fav car bro
This is very informative
European guys are really lucky because all S14 using SR20DET. Welp SR20DE with itb is more exciting than turbo version
they hold their values very well though, prices from 10.000 Euros up are normal
Brilliant again. Thank you!
Still can’t beat Lotus with their special editions lol
do you want a package with a package? gotta buy this package first tho
If you do a S15 you might be interested in putting in some build numbers

I’ll eventually be doing the same for S14s.
I’ll link it when I’ll be writing the S15 one, so far I have to translate this one to a S-chassis forum and then look for information
Nice blog man!
