The Unfeasibly Hot Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Will Make You Want To Be A Racing Driver
The Lamborghini Huracan hardly needs any help in the looks department, but dump a load of because race car goodness on top, and my word, do you have something pretty. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Huracan racer, with the Super Trofeo one-make race series version saying buon giorno last summer, but this beautiful beasty is the full-fat GT3 version, set to compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series.
The composite body sports carbonfibre canards, various meaty vents, a chunky rear diffuser and big wing, plus side skirts and an adjustable front spoiler. The front and rear subframes have been modified to accommodate a beefier radiator at the front, and a slight reposition of the gearbox at the rear. There are no interior pictures yet, but it’ll feature an FIA-approved roll cage, fire extinguisher system and carbonfibre race seat.
The familiar mid-mounted 5.2-litre V10 sends its power to the rear (the regulations don’t allow for four-wheel drive shenanigans) via a six-speed sequential gearbox and a three-disc racing clutch.
As you’d expect, none of this comes particularly cheap. €369,000 (£283,000), in fact. If that’s a bit of a stretch, head along to one of the Blancpain rounds to see it in action. The series kicks off on 12 April with the 3 Hours of Monza.
