UPDATE: Watch The Be-Winged 2018 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Go Testing At The ‘Ring And Have A Big Off
Given that the sixth-generation Camaro is a hell of a lot lighter than the previous version, the next Z/28 should be quite some beast. In fact, the weight reduction of the latest Camaro is drastic enough to make the current SS as fast to 60mph as the old Z/28 - four seconds dead - so expect a sub-four second time for the new car.
Engine wise, there’s no question the car seen testing at the Nurburgring is packing a V8 - we’re just not 100 per cent sure what kind of eight-banger we’re looking at. Given the lack of supercharger noise, the 7.0-litre GM LS7 used in the previous Z/28 seems likely.
Update: it seems the Z/28 test mule’s recent ‘Ring sessions haven’t quite been without incident, as you’ll see from the updated video embed above. Judging by the monster lock-up, we can only imagine the ABS was disabled for whatever reason.

That sucks dude, that’s a mean looking car.
I always wondered, why do all test cars have those black and white figures on the body?
Probably because it hides the lines and shape of the car a bit
Is it me or did he just not brake in time?
I’m not sure the aero is “ridiculously aggressive” some canards and a spoiler does not ridiculously agressive make. Seems to be no rear diffuser of any kind?
Am I the only person that think this thing sounds hideous ?
Probably, at least the only one in this thread

Turns out. Americans can’t turn left. Who would have thought of that?
you mean the 2018 mustang
Driver : where’s the downforce you should provide ??
Wing : what’s downforce bro !!
“Hey Boss, what features do you want on the new Camaro?”
“Try and make it like the Mustang”
Crashes ensue.
The driver was just as aggressive as his aero
