UPDATE: Watch The Be-Winged 2018 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Go Testing At The ‘Ring And Have A Big Off
Given that the sixth-generation Camaro is a hell of a lot lighter than the previous version, the next Z/28 should be quite some beast. In fact, the weight reduction of the latest Camaro is drastic enough to make the current SS as fast to 60mph as the old Z/28 - four seconds dead - so expect a sub-four second time for the new car.
Engine wise, there’s no question the car seen testing at the Nurburgring is packing a V8 - we’re just not 100 per cent sure what kind of eight-banger we’re looking at. Given the lack of supercharger noise, the 7.0-litre GM LS7 used in the previous Z/28 seems likely.
Update: it seems the Z/28 test mule’s recent ‘Ring sessions haven’t quite been without incident, as you’ll see from the updated video embed above. Judging by the monster lock-up, we can only imagine the ABS was disabled for whatever reason.

Better if it crashes in a track rather than in the street, altough im a import guy i say that america is catching up with their vehicles, but they would need to do a serius size and weight reduction…
So if chevy makes a car saying its but there are no changes at all to the specs thats means that something has been changed?
Camaro is just trying to be a Mustang
Sounds good, crashes good, crap at corners, perfect muscle car
