The VelociRaptor 600 Is What Happens When Hennessey Gets Hold Of A Ford F-150

Pickups aren’t really a big thing here in the UK, and yet we find these large load luggers curiously appealing. Our curiosity is especially piqued when we see something like this: Hennessey’s tuned version of America’s favourite pickup, the Ford F-150. Based on the FX4 SuperCrew variant, its 5.0-litre supercharged V8 packs over 600bhp. Even in a big heavy pickup, that should do nicely.

The exterior is given an extra dash of meanness courtesy of a new Hennessey-branded grille, chunky cladding around the wheel arches and black 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 33-inch BFGoodrich tyres. Other items including an LED light bar, off-road suspension and beefier front and rear bumpers are optional.

500 will be made for the 2015 F-150 model year, at a price of $73,500 (£46,800) apiece.
