VW Is Making A Convertible T-Roc And We're Not Sure How To Feel
Are you the sort of person who looks at the Range Rover Evoque Convertible while thinking “mmmmm…”? We have good news for you: VW is going to launch something quite similar that’ll no doubt be right up your street.
The manufacturer announced today that its T-Roc crossover (below) - which has already proven to be a big sales success - will spawn a convertible version. No, we’re not sure how we feel about that, although if you have some strong views you’d like to put across, feel free to express your excitement/rage/befuddlement in the comments.
The car will go into production in 2020 at VW Group’s Osnabrück facility in Germany, which is currently responsible for the manufacture of the VW Tiguan and Porsche Cayman. The project is being backed by €80 million of investment.
Unlike the aforementioned drop-top Evoque - which has always been a niche model for Land Rover - we can actually see VW shifting quite a few of these.

The T-Roc is, for VW standards, quite an interesting car to look at.
A convertible version would make me deny my statement.
The thing that annoys me most about these sorts of “vehicles” is that people actually choose to buy them over any other car.
hey, Matt, how about you grow some and have an opinion and stop not being sure how you feel. Are you all 14 year old and awkward?
