The Wait For This Year's Must-See Movie 'Rush' Is Over

'Rush' - the hotly anticipated Formula 1 film - is out now in UK cinemas...

Motorsport fans, listen up! Rush, the hottest film of 2013, is out in UK cinemas NOW!

The biographical action film depicts the titanic battle for the 1976 Formula 1 world title between Britain's James Hunt and Austria's Niki Lauda.

Formula 1 was renowned back then for its high drama and danger. This is more than evident in the film's real-life plot after Lauda crashed and suffered sever burns at the formidable Nurburging.

However, the Austrian was back just a few weeks later to take the battle to rival Hunt.

Directed by Ron Howard (Apollo 13), Hunt is played by Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Lauda is portrayed by Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) and Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy) who plays Hunt's first wife Suzy Miller.

The premier took place at London's Leicester Square on September 2nd, with F1 legends mixing it with Hollywood stars; and all with the back-drop of two mouth-watering McLaren F1 cars.

While we've seen numerous trailers and featurettes, the wait is now over for us UK folk. And the rest of the world won't have to wait too long either; it will be released in selected US cinemas on September 20th with more being added on the 27th. That is also the date of the film's release in Canada. Click here for full release date listings.
