Watch And Listen To The Range Rover Velar SVR As It Shouts Its Way Around The 'Ring
JLR is already cooking up a hot version of the Velar SUV, and it sounds ridiculously angry
Jaguar Land Rover has wasted no time in building a hot version of the Range Rover Velar. The standard car hasn’t been launched yet, but a Velar SVR (yep, we realise the rhyming is unfortunate) has already been spotted undergoing testing at the Nurburgring.
Power is most likely coming from JLR’s tried and tested 5.0-litre supercharged V8. Expect a 542bhp output, and - given the weight advantage over the Range Rover Sport SVR - a 0-62mph time in the low 4s.
Despite some inevitable, tyre squeal-inducing understeer seen in the testing footage, it looks pretty handy in the corners for a big, high-riding SUV. We can’t wait to have a go…

Carnt wait to be back in London Town back in the m3
Why do cars that are testing have those wierd vinyls
Hi
It probably doesn’t break down as much as Range Rover. It a superb motor but so unreliable. I would have one tomorrow if it was in the Top 10 of cars for reliability, instead of about 63 out of 100.
