Racers are a competitive bunch, and sometimes they let their frustrations get the better of them. At last weekend’s Moto3 warm up session in Argentina, Romano Fenati let his beef with Niklas Ajo boil over into an exchange that would see him start from the back of the grid.

Fenati remonstrated with Ajo out on track, and when his opponent ignored his angry gesticulations, he decided to kick out at him - according to Crash.net the Finn still doesn’t know why Fenati was so angry. That wasn’t the end of it though, as while the rest of the grid was practicing their starts, Fenati continued to berate his opponent, and when Ajo turned to another rider to share his incredulity about the situation, the Italian turned off his bike.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, stewards took a dim view of Fenati’s actions, and imposed three points on his record. Despite starting from the back of the grid on race day, a strong race saw him finish eighth.
