Watch This BMW M3 Top Speed Comparison Video: E30, E36, E46, E92 And F80
The M3 is now in its fifth generation, having transformed itself from a naturally-aspirated four-cylinder car to a V8 and now a twin-turbocharged straight-six. Here's a great video demonstrating each car's top speed and engine note (Edit: turns out the E30 is not an M3!)

The first car is not a E30 M3. It is most likely 325is or super eta. My 325ix pulls 230km/h (215km/h GPS) with stock engine and modified intake. Any late model M3 should be able to pull 250km/h easily and odo going up to 260 which is darker than stock and has bright red needles, and doesn’t have economy gauge which is replaced by oil temp gauge.
Who needs the economy gauge anyway ^^
Here is the original video for the E30, it’s actually a 325i, and not a stock one.

When the latest 2 generations are barely any faster than the E46.. shows how good it was (still is) for it’s time really
I agree but top speed isnt all that matters
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Xxis6DSeDk (e46 m3 has a lot of speedo error: real speed above clock)
still agree with what you said, anyway :)
E46 was a great car by all means but the latest f80 m4/m3 will leave it far behind in a drag race due to the extra horsepower and mainly the massive torque
Time to do a speed comparison between Phil and Colin. By speed comparison I mean which car can roll down the hill the fastest lol
He stole the compilation I made !!!!!!!!

BTW the video is not monetised, don’t worry, I don’t make money from it
Incredible, I never expected that.
“naturally-aspirated four-cylinder car to a V8 and now a twin-turbocharged straight-six”
Just left out the two NA I6 - E36/46?
I meant that these are the extremes, but OK…
Dat artificial engine noise dou
My favourite part was watching the fuel needl on the f80 m3 just dropping haha
Fake and gay!
I heard the E46 use a turn signal! BMW’s obviously don’t come with those fitted!
:D
