Watch A Burning Lotus 2-Eleven Race Car Roll Back Onto The Track And Into The Path Of Other Competitors
Anthony Fournier won the Lotus Cup Europe race one at Paul Ricard last month, but race two ended in drama when a fire erupted from his 2-Eleven race car - he stopped at the side of the track but it rolled back across it in flames
There were scary scenes for the drivers approaching the incident, with the flaming 2-Eleven rolling back onto the track and then across it, picking up momentum down the incline.
We’re not sure why the car set fire (overheating issue perhaps?) and why exactly it rolled back down the track (handbrake not put on in the hurry to get out?) at such speed but the driver was uninjured and that’s the main thing!
