While they’re more than capable enough off-road, very few X5s will ever venture away from the tarmac. But the car you’re looking at here is no ordinary X5.
It’s clearly had a hard life. It looks like it’s been in at least one accident, and left to rot for some time. But rather than let it die in a scrap yard, these guys hacked the roof off, welded in a roll cage and fitted some hilariously big all-terrain tyres.
The results are, we’re sure you’ll agree, awesome. Sure, you’re going to need a shower to get all the mud off after you’ve been for a hoon, but how much fun does this thing look??

Well, actually they bought this car, which was more or less intact, only to drop it off a hill. It was a proof for a 1 year old video in which they maybe accidentally (many suggested that they did it on purpose) dropped an E70 X5M- it’s internals have been taken for an old Soviet lorry project car. And well, after they crushed the second X5 to prove that it was an accident in which they destroyed that X5M, they decided to make a little project out of this E53 as well.
