There’s two reasons you would stop for a bird in this scenario: You’re not heartless and don’t want to kill it for merely existing. Or you don’t want to damage your bumper/paintwork (speed dependent).
My point was that I’ve never seen a walking bird just stand there & get hit, they always fly out of the way. I have hit some in mid flight, but this seemed sort of silly to stop for it.

I bet this happens to pilots all the time. Some stubborn * bird flock just don’t wanna move at 10,000 ft, and won’t let the plane move up or down. Damn birds. This is why planes have blades :)
actually I have seen pilots open their windows and trow bread out to lure the birds away. works. every. time.
should have just gone to hit it and it would have moved. Dogs are cocky like that too. But the only thing I have seen without the common sense to get out of the way are BLM protesters.
