This impressive effort at Tierp Arena in Sweden last month was good enough to give the ‘Electric Fox’ a European record for the fastest electric dragster over a quarter-mile, and was just 0.356sec shy of the world record. The car - driven here by Maris Ozolins - is powered by six liquid-cooled motors and beefy custom lithium-ion batteries.

Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.

its really cool but it will never be as exiting to watch as the combustion engine counterpart the noise is such a large part of the experience.

I think the sound of tires being mercilessly savaged in near silence is pretty impressive.

Well, while I like when technology advances, this video is terrifying. If this is the future of motorsports, I hope that someone creates the time machine soon.
