Watch F1 Supremo Adrian Newey Stupidly Smash His Lambo On A Warm Up Lap

Adrian Newey is famous in the world of Formula 1 for designing championship-winning cars time and time again. In his spare time, Newey also gets behind the wheel and has competed in a number of racing series, including the gruelling Le Mans 24hr.

Everyone has a bad day at the office from time to time, and unfortunately for Newey, his bad day happened while the cameras were rolling. Competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe race at Silverstone this weekend, Newey was weaving to get heat into his tyres on the warm up lap. One weave too many and Newey had slammed his Lamborghini sideways into the wall, which instantly ended his race before it had even begun.

This isn't the first time Newey has been in trouble on a race circuit. In 2010 while competing in a Ginetta G50 race at Snetterton, Newey was briefly hospitalised after being shunted as he rolled backwards onto the track following a spin.
