Watch Former F1 Driver Kobayashi Smash Up An F1 Car After A Burnout Fail
The burnout. The perfect trick to please thousands of adoring fans and the number one port of call for drivers when completing demo runs.
Kamui Kobayashi however - who burst onto the scene in 2009 after replacing an injured Timo Glock at Toyota and who quickly earned the nickname "Kobaya-crashi" - had other ideas during during Moscow's annual motorsport street event this weekend.
Living up to his nickname, Kobayashi crashed a 2009 Ferrari F60 during the event. The rather awkward incident occurred after a failed burnout pitched him into the crash barrier, which resulted in a smashed car and a burst of flames for good measure.
Kobayashi shamefully let the car roll down the road on three wheels before exiting for the pits. Fortunately for him, Ferrari was obviously anticipating such an incident and brought a spare car for him to drive.
