Driver Leonid Papachin has been handed a suspended prison sentence and banned from driving for this hair-raising manoeuvre
We’ve seen some idiotic manoeuvres on the motorway in our time, but this one is extra specially dumb. The driver of this articulated lorry, Leonid Papachin, was caught on CCTV driving the wrong way down an off ramp towards the M6 Toll Road before turning across oncoming motorway traffic to continue his journey.
For his dangerous antics, Papachin was slapped with a suspended prison sentence for two years, disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £85 costs.
