Want to see how fast the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S is at the top end? Of course you do. The video above is what happened when the guys at Dutch outlet AutoTopNL took one down the German Autobahn.

This quiet(ish), comfortable five-seat saloon (or estate) hits 192mph on the internal speedometer – 187mph on the windscreen-mounted datalogger – on its travels down the derestricted motorway. The 180mph limiter is working well, then.

Sit back and enjoy one of today’s fastest family cars in full flight. You’ll want the sound on, too…

He’s been a lot faster in many different cars, but yeah the E63 and definitely go a lot faster….I wonder why it didn’t

I did 150 mph on the Autobahn the other day and holy crap

All hail the e60 M5 which could hit 200mph, Alpina B10 BiTurbo and Lotus Carlton which both could hit 180mph back in the 80’s and early 90’s so it’s all sorta been done before, so why all the fuss…

The e60 m5 speedos were a bit optimistic. Besides this isn’t the e63s top speed . Also the e63 s will destroy any other fast saloon on track

If after almost 30 years we get this, like, 20 kmh more…whats the point…im gonna get a whole lotta hate but whats the point of hitting 400kmh??? Jesus christ…make a car thats fun to drive and simplify it…
