The Porsche 911 is one of, if not the most iconic sports car of all time. Through its many iterations, the designers have been as stubborn as the engineers - it always looks the same and the engine is always out back.

This new 991 model takes a huge leap on from its predecessor, however; a tech-fest that has proved divisive with hardcore 911 fans. But let's not debate the intricacies here. Instead, let's just enjoy a full on, balls out blat to 333kph (207mph); not bad considering the 552bhp Turbo S has a quoted top speed of 198mph...

The numbers on the dash climb rapidly, even as we're propelled past 300kph, and the engine sounds suitably aggressive at full bore. The pace really is astonishing - it takes less than 10 seconds to hit 200kph, and around 25 seconds to break 300kph.
