Watch Porsche's Four-Pot Cayman Test Mule Get Another Caning At The 'Ring
Two Porsche prototypes have been spotted undergoing testing at the Nuburbring, including a Cayman which sounds as though it's powered by a four-cylinder engine
We first saw a pair of Porsches that were quite likely to be testing the German company’s upcoming flat-four engines a couple of months ago. A Boxster and Cayman have once again been spotted undergoing testing, but this time it sounds to us as though the Boxster is a six-pot, while the Cayman is most likely being used as a test mule for one of the new flat-fours.
The new engines will appear in the next generation Boxster and Cayman, and will be available in 1.6-litre, 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre capacities, with power outputs of 210, 268 and 360bhp respectively.
