We Can't Stop Staring At This Modernised Ferrari F40
Retro is big business for OEMs right now. This is the year that Mercedes launched an all-new G-Class which looks damn near identical to the one that’s been made since the 1970s, Porsche remade ‘Moby Dick’ using a 911 GT2 RS, and Ferrari visually referenced multiple cars from its history with the SP1 and SP2.
But what if Ferrari decided to build an homage to what might just be its most celebrated supercar? How might that look?
We’re talking, of course, about the F40, which designer Samir Sadikhov - whose CV includes work for Rezvani and Lamborghini - has digitally created a modern interpretation of. We must say, the results are spectacular. The F40’s key design details - the side intakes, the big rectangular rear wing, the triple exhaust - are all here, but brought bang up to date.
Sadikhov worked on the project for over a year, and even did some design work for the reimagined F40’s monocoque platform. “As a petroldhead and a car designer I wanted to keep the spirit of the Ferrari F40 icon,” he told us via email.
There are many more images than the ones we’ve posted here which are available on Sadikhov’s website, which we thoroughly recommend you go and investigate.

It looks too short in my opinion. If it was more elongated (you know.. like the original F40) it would have been better. This looks like it was the middle car in a three-car crash sandwich.
Looks cool, a little too much going on
Needs more clean
Overall more like a F50
