We Spotted Bentley's New SUV Being Tested: What Do You Think Of This Luxury Monster?
The world’s rich seem to love a good luxury SUV, so it’s perhaps odd that we haven’t seen a vehicle of this type from the likes of Bentley and Rolls Royce in showrooms thus far. However, the chance to make an absolute killing, particularly from emerging markets, has proven too tempting to resist, so the two British marques are currently developing their own SUVs for those that find the Range Rover just a bit too cheap. And we spotted Bentley’s effort yesterday, undergoing testing on roads in East Anglia.
Despite the disguise, we can quite clearly see it’s an imposing thing, and that the trademark Bentley fascia does look a little odd planted on the face of a huge, high-riding SUV. Despite the size and inevitable weight, it will be quick: it’s known to be powered by a 6.0-litre W12, and according to reports from Autocar earlier this year, Bentley has a target top speed of 200mph for the vehicle. Cripes.
The question is, if you were a wealthy Bentley customer, would you consider this SUV over something like a Mulsanne or Continental?
