We Wish All F1 Cars Looked Like This Futuristic McLaren Concept
Here we have another awesome F1 concept livery, but this one is a bit different. Designer Nathan Dearsley has imagined what the sport could be like in 2056, with McLaren returning to their retro roots in a bid to regain the dominance of the Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost era.
Called the MP6/P, the aggressive-looking machine has a primitive body design to “punch a non-turbulent flow of air out of the rear” and boost overtaking.
It features chunky but simplistic front and rear wings, with big sidepods and air intakes - resembling the high airbox designs of F1 cars in the early 1970s.
The MP6/P, of course, sports McLaren’s unforgettable Marlboro red and white livery from the late 1980s and early 1990s, when Senna and Prost dominated the sport with Honda power. It is fair to say that if the current F1 grid looked like as good as this concept, we’d be pretty happy.
