This weekend saw the World Touring Car Championship head to Macau. Race one was a fairly unremarkable affair, however the second race was anything but.

The first race incident took place on the first turn, as Norbert Michelisz's Honda Civic ran wide into the barrier. With half the pack barrelling down behind him with nowhere to go - thanks to the street circuit's walls - Michelisz's car sparked a number of early retirements.

Following a restart, the field managed to complete six laps without incident, until Eurico de Jesus hit Tom Chilton's crippled Cruze. With the Brit's Chevy helplessly stuck, stewards waved yellow flags as the Safety Car rolled out of the pits. Despite the warnings, racers entered the scene at full race speed, suddenly finding themselves parked in the rear of another car. A safety steward tending to the initial accident was extremely lucky to escape injury, as he had no escape from incoming vehicles.

Rob Huff eventually took the race victory, while Yvan Muller clinched the championship for the fourth time.
