What you’re looking at is a Ferrari. No, really, it is actually a genuine Fezza. But it’s certainly not an Enzo. What some misguided soul has done to create this monstrosity - which was recently up for sale - is take a poor, defenceless Ferrari F430, and dump a dubious carbonfibre, aluminium-framed replica Enzo body on top. From certain angles it looks plain weird (just check out that side profile), and by the looks of some of the close-up shots, the fit and finish isn’t brilliant either.

Oh sure, there are worse supercar replicas out there, but the fact that the Israeli seller of this one (the car itself is based in Texas) had the audacity to charge $400,000 (£254,000) for it somewhat takes the biscuit. And let’s not forget that a presumably good F430 was ruined to create this ludicrously expensive abomination.

There are some good points. It’s only done 4000 miles (perhaps the owner was too embarrassed to drive it particularly frequently?), and with a 490bhp 4.3-litre V8 mounted in the middle, it’ll be plenty fast, if not quite as swift as the real V12-powered Enzo.
If - for whatever reason - you find all of this quite tempting, we have bad news: the auction appears to have ended early with no bids.
