What The Hell Is The Difference Between Michelin's PS4, PS4 S And Cup 2?
When it comes to performance-related car modifications, tyres are a surprisingly neglected area. And that’s a shame - since those rubber hoops are your only contact point with the road, the boots you choose for your car have a huge impact on how it behaves.
The trouble is, it’s hard to know what to go for. Even sticking with a well-known brand like Michelin might not help - if you’re after some sportier tyres from the Pilot Sport range, how the hell do you choose between the PS4, the PS4 S or the Cup 2? After all, Michelin’s own literature is probably more likely to focus on the pros rather than the cons of each.
Happily, Jonathan Benson of Tyrereviews.co.uk is here to meticulously pick apart what’s good and bad about each, using a Ford Focus ST as the control of his range of tests.
So, now you’ve been schooled on these three tyres, which would you go for on your own car, and why?

4 just for all round use. It’s already expensive enough to go any softer and they’re approaching too noisy for motorway use. Might put some cups on my OG wheels and use them every now and again though!
