What Is It That Makes People Love The Honda S2000 So Much?
Doug DeMuro casts his analytical, quirk-finding eye over the legendary S2000
Despite going out of production only nine years ago, the Honda S2000 already seems to have achieved modern classic status. But why? What is it about these cars that love them so much?
Us at CT - and plenty of other motoring outlets - have written about what’s awesome about the S2000 plenty of times before, but for a look at all the car’s cool features, who better to drill down to the nitty gritty than lover of quirks Doug DeMuro?

Come on it’s obvious!
Vtec!
He straight up missed one of the car’s biggest quirks: the smuggler’s compartment. The glove box over the glove box (unless the AP2s didn’t have one but I’m pretty sure they did).

This car was so ahead of this time.
I actually think that if it was still produced today, it would still be in demand.
I love the fact that when they 1st presented it to the bosses at Honda they said it wasnt good enough and made them start again!! Thats commitment to an ideal and for that i respect this car!
It’s basically a Miata, minus the pop-up headlights, and ofc, can’t forget the V-TEC*
*yo
Because it’s a Honda, you may not need the bumper to bumper warranty.
Nice Miata
