When I visited my parents the other week, they were having building work done, so I took their car to the local petrol station, but took my own buckets, wash mit, drying cloth and shampoo, and just took my time there. There are better methods, but most people don’t have access to it.
If you know how to properly wash it, you can easily use a microfiber sponge and buckets and be fine years later. Part of it is keeping your sponge and buckets clean so you don’t unnecessarily add grit.
Use 2 buckets, one with clean water and one to clean the sponge.
The brush washes are fine if youre smart about it. I clean out the brushes really well before using them and make sure theres nothing in it first.
I agree. Mine has a hose inside, and with lots of water going trough the brush, it makes sure that anything that gets off the car wont get caught in the brush and end up making scratches.
the automated wash it’s the #1 for ruined paints
PPF to the rescue
The automatic carwash in my town peeled off my pinstriping
So handwash is still the best just dry it with a good, clean microfiber towel instead of the rubber thingy
What about towel dry on the hand wash instead of the squeagy, or the “touchless” automatic car washes?
Can someone just tell me the answer so I don’t have to waste four minutes watching other ppl wash their cars?
