This year's been a godsend for us petrolheads. We've seen a trio of hybrid hypercars (McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder, have been treated to a very special new Corvette Stingray and have seen what can be done with a modest 1.5-litre sports car, the BMW i8.

While some cars are currently on sale, others won't hit showrooms until either 2014 or 2015 in the case of the NSX.
