This Is What The New TVR's V8 Sounds Like

After spending the last few years in limbo, TVR’s rebirth is at last underway. While it’d be easy to be skeptical right now - TVR has a rather chequered financial history, after all - it’s all looking rather promising. We all knew the latest Trevor would be getting a Cosworth-developed V8, but it’s now been revealed to be based on Ford’s ‘Coyote’ V8 - not a bad starting point. Also, the car is set to be “engineered in collaboration with” Gordan Murray.

Making the new TVR team’s ambitions abundantly clear is what this engine’s for: it’s actually the lump destined for a GT racing version of the new car which is heading for the 24 Hours of Le Mans grid in 2017.

All this seems to have given the punters lots of faith in the new project, as the initial 2017 allocation of 250 cars has already sold out. We’ll be watching this one with interest…
