The Martian movie is nowhere near as good as the book. It was dumbed down so much it hurts intelligent people. Skip the movie, read the book.

I’m a little confused about something here (seriously), and would like some clarification. 2002 honda civic with A/C. From what I understand the A/C is just a cooler and the heater is just blowing hot air heated by going through the engine bay to the cab.

So why do you turn the heater on full blast and the A/C on? From what I understand, when you turn on the A/C it bypasses the heater and if you have it on the hottest setting, for the A/C that’s the least cool setting, right?

I didn’t think they both worth at the same time. Thanks for anyone with knowledge out there.

The best method I found was to lay a wet/damp towel over the outside of windowscreen the night before. Then simply remove the towel and drive onwards

Only problem is most a/c’s wont work below 5C (~40F) because the moisture it extracts from the air can freeze up and destroy the evaporator.
