Which Mercedes C63 Sounds Best: 6.2 Or 4.0?
The current C63 may still have a V8, but it's lost just over a couple of litres in displacement and gained a pair of turbochargers compared to its predecessor. So does it sound as good? Listen to the comparison video then cast your vote!

Not sure whats worse, the 4.0’s sound or his gloves!
Then his gloves aren’t too shabby in that case
The old one but not much difference in acoustic pleasure. Like the sound of both.
I have to give it to the older one
Sound wise not much in it, design wise old one any day
85/15 split? Im very suprised, they both are so good but the 6.2 has more character to it.
N/A all the way
They both sound fantastic, from the outside Id say there is pretty much nothing in it. But its that lovely roar INSIDE the cabin that edged the 6.2 ahead for me.
Although I must admit I have become infactuated with another big V8 saloon recently. I saw a Lexus IS F (5.0 N/A v8) in a petrol station and was lucky enough to have him bang it off the limiter well leaving, my god it sounds fantastic + its a lexus v8 so you can literally do 1million miles in it , unlike mercs that get a bit ropey after about 10 years when all their electrics go a bit t*ts up. :D
Thats mostly a problem on stuff like an s class. The C class is a bit less complicated, with more proven technology used instead of engineering that is or was well ahead of its time. The C class is, like most cars, sensetive for electric failiures. So is lexus :)
Interestingly enough, I think the 4.0l sounds better when standing still, while the 6.2l sound better when pulling away/during driving. All in all I think the new C63 is the much more desirable car, so much better looking. The only thing I hate are the cheap looking I-pad lookalikes on the dashes that everyone without creativity/own ideas has to copy nowadays.
6.2l BAVARIAN brute how a true muscle car sounds
Which one was which?
White = 6.2
Black = 4.0
