This Wrecked Cop Car Is Further Proof That Audis Are Insanely Safe

Two police officers in this cop car were fortunate to walk away without serious injury after an Audi A3 ploughed into their stationary vehicle.

The crash happened in Wiltshire in January, after the officers pulled another vehicle over for speeding. Both cops were sat inside their Audi A4 when it was hit. Although it is unclear exactly how fast the A3 was travelling, the speed limit on the motorway is 70mph, which highlights just how lucky they were.

One officer was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters, who cut the roof off to get inside. Despite his ordeal, the officer got away with nothing more than a shoulder injury, while his colleague and the two occupants of the A3 were later discharged from hospital without injury.

This isn't the first time we've seen the occupants of an Audi survive in unlikely circumstances. Last year a shipping container fell on an S5 Coupe, with both occupants living to tell the tale.
