In scenes reminiscent of GTA V, a light aircraft pilot in Schelkovskiy, Chechnya is seen attempting to use a busy road as a runway. Actually, maybe ‘attempting’ isn’t the right word - to be fair to the man, he is successful in getting into the air. For less than a second.
In this dramatic footage, just after the rear wheels lift off the ground, the plane is seen smashing into the back of a parked van. Amazingly, The Telegraph reports that the pilot suffered only minor facial injuries.
By the looks of it though, the plane and the van didn’t come off quite so lightly…
