You Can Pick Up A Porsche 918 Spyder Really Cheap If You Don't Mind It Being Smashed To Pieces
If you can’t quite afford a 918 but will do anything to own one, how about this fine example as a solution? It’s up for auction with a current bid of $100,000, but as you can see, it’s not exactly in the best state. That’s because the car - number 830 of 918 produced - is up for auction from salvage company Copart, and looks to have been involved in a hefty smash.
It’s missing much of the front end, the rear clamshell is in bits, and you don’t have to be an engineer to know the right rear wheel should not look like that. The “primary damage” is amusingly listed as “all over”, and there’s also “secondary damage” listed for the “undercarriage”.
It doesn’t look like the original owner of the car had much use out of it before binning it either, because the car is displaying just 92 miles on the clock….
We’ll be keeping a close eye on the auction to see what the car goes for when bidding closes on 23 March. Post your predictions in the comments!

I personally would buy it just to say that I own one
that right rear tire camber thoe
But what’s under that tarp? In corner of the shop in the front end picture.
I’ll take it to Harry’s put it on my tab, get overnight parts from Germany
I don’t care what car it is if someone crashed it, it makes me sad to see any car in this condition
If the engine system is still intact I’d take it.
this makes me really sad…
How much for one headlight?
I just made this up
Manager: Its in mint condition but just to warn you it might not run
Buyer: Ok lets see it
Manager: fine but i’m just warning you that it may not start.
Buyer: Ok
Manager: So here it is
Buyer: D: D: D:
Manger: I told ya XD XD
Do you think that engine will fit in a civic?
