You Could Own This Former WRC-Winning Ford Focus For The Price Of A Lamborghini Huracan

If you’re thinking the only way to get your AWD Fast Ford rocks off is to purchase the new Focus RS, you’d be very much mistaken. This Ford Focus WRC car is going under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions and is expected to fetch somewhere between £180k and £200k. A bona-fide World Rally Championship winner for the price of a Lamborghini Huracan? It’d be the hatchback every time.

Its pedigree is impressive. Markko Martin won in Corsica and Catalunya while behind the wheel, also finishing in the top 10 five times during 2004 and three times in 2005. The car was then bought directly from the Malcolm Wilson Works team by an entrepreneur who used it in national rallying championships from 2006. In 2009 the car was retired, before being sent back to its original builder M-Sport for a full £50,000 rebuild at the end of last year.

The car will be available for purchase at Silverstone Auctions on 22 February.
