Flyin miata frame rail brace

Does anybody here have experience with them? I have a few questions. For one, would you call it a replacement for the current frame rails or no? Is it safe to apply onto a frame rail with a little bit of rust? Performance gains? Life expectancy? Thought I’d ask here since its not answered on the website.

I had the frame rails, no butterfly, in my NA. Greatly improves chassis rigidity, especially on earlier cars. I believe they are stainless steel so they will last a while. I would fix the rust before putting them on. If I remember correctly, they go over the “factory” frame rails, thus reinforcing them.
