1996 Nissan 180sx Type X

Hello CT Users,

This is my 96 Nissan 180sx Type X.
I bought this car about 9 years ago when i first got my license. When i purchased it, the car was completely stock. Since then i have turned it into the car you see before you. It’s not much cosmetic wise but anything else you can think of has either been modified or replaced for better equipment.

Thanks guys. The car is due for another tune in the very near future. Just waiting for a semi cool day before we put it on the dyno because its really hot in Australia atm. But ill keep updating as time goes on. Thank again for liking my pride and joy :)

Believe me it upsets me too. I don’t want to flare guards though. I have since fixed this by adjusting lower control arms and bringing the wheels in a bit. These photos are just old. But in saying that this cars main purpose was a good weekend drive thats able to drift. It handles incredibly well because of those camber settings.

Very nice! What kind of spool time do you have on the 20g? Not many people run them with the TD06 hotside, usually TD05.

Well at the moment it’s not as responsive as I’d like it to be. Boost kicks in at about 4000rpm. But with the new intake manifold and intercooler setup i should see that drop a bit lower.
