2018 Ford Mustang and Homer Simpson - The reality

To me, this is not a Mustang. I simply do not like it. But that´s not what matters here!
What is going on? Why would they make it look like this?

Homer is the answer.

Remember the "old" Homer?

Due to his simply insane stupidity and laziness he made us laugh. That´s basically it.

The modern Homer is not funny

So, what is he? Today, the Simpson family is trying so hard to be funny with crappy jokes and content, which simply is not funny. The jokes are too complex, instead of idiot stuff happening to idiot Homer.

That´s what´s going on!

They are trying too hard to look extreme

Less is more! This car has so many edges, so many things to focus on - it´s a mess! Where are you supposed to look at? See what I mean? It´s too extreme.

I hope I can make some people start think now. #bringbackmuscle

I get what you mean, the curves look nice, the edges look nice. But it messes with you because they do not got well together. Which has resulted in an awkward looking teenager.

Well said. These exotic design ideas don´t belong to a muscle car in my opinion.

Eh, imagine what people thought when the saw the original mustang in the mid 60s. Cars where so big and the mustag was small. It was differmt and so people didnt like it. But hey, im not gomna stop you for something you belive in.

Thank you ;) But actually, the idea behind the mustang was to make Ford attractive to young people again with a small and sporty car - and people loved it!

The point isn’t if they are trying too hard to look “extreme”. Well, they’ve done it, by making it extremely ugly. The point that I wanna understand is: Who the f*ck is the engineer and/or the designer who looked at it thought: “WOW I’ve done a good job!”. Looks like that they tried to make a replacement to Bumblebee and failed.

I am sure you can look that up on ford.com ;) but I know what you mean…

Honestly, I don’t think it looks as bad as some people say it is. I do find the styling a tad unorthodox, but if it has good performance, then I can let the styling go.

Interesting to see a different opinion. As a guy who also likes the “ugly” 90s mustangs for the reason that they have the power and the V8 rumble we all love, I can understand you, but I can´t understand Ford.

It’s slowly growing on me honestly. But I still prefer the outgoing Mustang over this one.

I still have faith in this car, that´s why I created this post, there must be something! I saw a small sound clip on twitter and actually I was impressed! ..because I do NOT like previous models sound. It´s too weak for me (compared to GM and Dodge stock exhausts)

Just one thing, you’re not gonna change a new car that’s produced by one of the largest company’s in the world by making a hashtag on a website.

Personally, I like the sharper look. I also like that the changes aren’t just cosmetic. The amount of stuff they’ve worked on improving is going to help make the Mustang a proper performance car.

Ford have come a long way in terms of Quality and Mechanical ability but they lost their feet with the design of their cars, sure they had to move with the times but if they took their old models like the 68 mustang and put in their quality and mechanical ability, it may not compare to the original sure it’s your “first love” but it would be the girl you’d want to marry even if she’s leaving a mile of skidmarks in the streets and your boxers :p

hahaha awesome :D I agree, it doesn´t have to be exactly like the 68 or whatever model, but Ford has to remain on classic components that define the mustang. These headlights just don´t fit.

This is the strangest but greatest analogy I’ve ever heard.

Thank you! I watched a new and an older 90s episode of the simpsons yesterday. That´s what comes to my mind which basically connects everything with cars ;) haha
