The Toyota 1UZ-FE V8 engine. Said to be nigh indestructible.

This engine was used in most of the early Lexus models such as the LS400 and some GS300 models.

CTZens, what car would you use to swap this engine in?

As for me, I’d like to get an off-road spec Toyota Hilux and put this in there and have it supercharged.

I think it would destroy the Prius… Perhaps the 220 Camary? She has the body size to accommodate the swap

I think a MR2, because if you put the V8 in the front of a car it gets quite noseheavy. In the middle it’s okay!

1UZFE was in all 400 series lexus cars and trucks.. the 4.0 displacement is what the 400 meant..
LS400, SC400, GS400, all had the 1UZFE.. The GS300 had the inline 6, or 3.0 ltr motor.. there was never a GS300 with the 1UZFE.

They were also not indestructible.. they were also very expensive to fix, and while they were good engines for the time, the new LS460 or 4.6 Ltr 1URFSE and 5.0 2URFE are better in every way possible..
