2005 Subaru impreza 2.5rs
This is a 2005 subaru 2.5rs i picked up for 4000$ on craigslist. The goal is to keep it daily driver friendly and aesthetically pleasing id like the car to get me through the rest of high school and college. While modding power would be fun for me financially it is not viable.
Current state:
-As of now it has a small head gasket leak that will be fixed hopefully this winter pictures of that will be available when completed.
Current mods:
-Custom catback done by S@S exhaust here in jacksonville with a magnaflow muffler.
-kartboy short shifter
-nrg shift knob
-plastidip =P (to broke for rims)
Plans:
-currently have brand new uel headers sitting in a box ready to be installed once the head gaskets are repaired
-i’d like to buy rims eventually
-lowering springs
-exterior mods (splitter, diffuser, etc)

I’m looking at one of these. Is it fun with a manual even though it’s not a wrx?
Yea I have driven a wrx that was modded this is a car you can full throttle and not get in to much trouble the wrx i drove got to 80 faster then i could think, so its fun in its own way its got really short gearing too. If you shift at 3k to keep your cruising at 2k rpm the gears go 1st at 10mph, 2nd at 20mph, 3rd and 30mph, and so on all they way up to 5th granted it isnt that way if you rev it out, its a good daily though and is usable power that wont get you into to much trouble.
