Fast Facts: Bugatti Chiron
The Bugatti Chiron is one of the greatest engineering accomplishments in the last decade so it would only be fitting to learn some obscure facts about the Chiron. It’s time for some Fast Facts!
It’s a heavy drinker
Now I know Hypercars aren’t meant to be economical but in the Chiron it’s a whole new story. At 261 MPH the fuel tank will run out from full in a mere 6 minutes and 49 seconds.
It’s got a coolant system that won’t quit
At full pace the Chiron’s coolant pump flows 800 litres of coolant around the Bugatti every minute. That’s enough to fill an average sized bath in 12 seconds and 5 of those baths in 1 minute.
It’s a powerful beast
The Chiron creates 1479 BHP from its 8.0 litre, W16, quad turbo monster of an engine. To put that into perspective, that’s equivalent to 2 McLaren 720s and 59 HP left over. Wow. That’s a lot!
It can do weird things to physics
The valve caps on the Chiron weigh 2.9 grams. However, at 420 KM/H due to the G forces acting on the car they weigh 7.5KG. Now that’s science!
Bugatti did some serious testing with the Chiron
During testing the Chiron racked up some serious kilometres. 500,000 KM of them to be exact. The Chiron also chewed through 200 sets of tyres and spent 300 Hours in a wind tunnel.
Well that’s all the obscure stuff you need to know about the Bugatti Chiron. If you have a car you want me to write about let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading!

So basically 2 720s and almost my car XD
Time for a turbo?
Hey, this is pretty cool!
Thanks!
That’s pretty good! Quick note, W16
Thanks! I’ll change that.
Well… That’s cool!!
The most incredible thing is not much has changed from the original veyron, which is 15 years old now
Fast fact: it costs many moneys and will probably cost you many moneys for a maintenance repair.
On the Veyron SS a set of tyres costed £20,000
Write about Lexus IS/Toyota Altezza 1998-2005? 😩😩😩
Mass (in kg) does not change depending on gravitational acceleration. Weight (in Newtons) does. The mass of the valve caps is 2.9 grams, wether the car is stopped or doing 420 km/h. The weight of the valve caps changes significantly.
